Billings is always growing, but lately it feels like there is something new to discover around every corner.
New restaurants are bringing more flavors to our city, and local businesses are growing into beautiful new spaces while giving us even more reasons to explore downtown.
Downtown has been especially busy. From January through June 2026, the downtown district welcomed 15 new businesses, relocations and expansions. That is a lot of new reasons to spend an afternoon downtown, plan a date night or finally try the place you keep hearing about.

Curry Bar & Grill
Billings has a delicious new reason to head downtown.
Curry Bar & Grill opened at 119 North Broadway in the former Bin 119 space, serving a combination of Indian and Nepalese cuisine. The menu includes familiar favorites like butter chicken, curry and fresh naan, along with Nepalese specialties such as momo, a traditional dumpling.
The restaurant is owned by Hemant Bhandari, whose experience in restaurant kitchens spans nearly a decade. It is exciting to see a familiar downtown space filled with life again, especially with flavors that add something genuinely different to the Billings dining scene.
Phónomenal Vietnamese Kitchen
Phónomenal Vietnamese Kitchen has brought Vietnamese food to 2716 Third Avenue North, inside the former Soup & Such location.
Owners Kaela Chanhthavee and Quito Keutla moved to Billings from Seattle and saw an opportunity to introduce more Vietnamese flavors to the community. The restaurant focuses on dishes including pho, the slow-simmered noodle soup known for its deeply flavorful broth, and bánh mì.
This is exactly the kind of addition that makes our local food scene more interesting. It offers Billings something new while creating another reason to gather downtown over a really good meal.
NISHA Thai Kitchen
Another familiar restaurant space has a fresh new chapter.
NISHA Thai Kitchen opened at 216 North Broadway in the former Imperial Thai location. The family behind the restaurant moved to Billings from Sidney after spending 15 years in the restaurant industry.
Their focus is on Thai dishes prepared with fresh ingredients in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Whether you already love Thai food or want to branch out from your usual order, NISHA is one to add to your downtown lunch or dinner list.
La Morenita
La Morenita opened at 15 North 26th Street, bringing new life to the former Don Luis location.
The restaurant serves Mexican food in the heart of downtown and offers online ordering for an easy lunch or dinner option. I always love seeing a well-known Billings location find its next chapter, especially when it gives us another Billings business to support.
One More Throw
Dinner is not the only reason to make plans downtown.
One More Throw is a locally owned axe-throwing lounge located at 2223 Montana Avenue, Suite 104. It offers axe throwing, interactive gaming experiences and space for private events, birthdays and group outings.
Billings has plenty of great places to eat and shop, so it is fun to see more activity-based businesses joining the mix. This one could make for a memorable night out, especially if your group enjoys a little friendly competition.
Divine Beauty Bar & Brew
Beauty appointments and handcrafted coffee under one roof? This may be one of the most unique new concepts downtown.
Divine Beauty Bar & Brew is located at 138 North 30th Street. The modern salon offers services including hair styling, lashes and nail care, along with private suites for independent beauty professionals. The space also includes a boutique coffee bar for clients and anyone who simply wants to stop in.
It feels more like a complete experience than a traditional appointment, and the warm, thoughtfully designed space makes it an especially fun addition to downtown Billings.
Blush Boutique
Blush Boutique has expanded into a new downtown location at 2816 Third Avenue North.
The women’s boutique carries clothing, accessories and statement pieces selected to blend current trends with timeless style. Its move from a smaller space gives local shoppers another reason to browse downtown and support a growing Billings business.
It is always exciting to see a local business outgrow its original space. That kind of growth says something wonderful about the people behind the business and the community that continues to support it.
There Is Always Something New to Love About Billings
What I love most about these additions is that they are not all the same. We are seeing new flavors, creative experiences, expanding local businesses and longtime favorites investing in their spaces.
Each one adds something different to Billings, and together they make our community feel even more vibrant.
